“The cost of a thing is the amount of life which is required to be exchanged for it, immediately or in the long run.”
Richard began working for ABS in 2018 as a Cabling Technician in our Structured Cabling Department in Richmond. Before becoming a Cabling Technician, Richard worked in invoicing for a purchasing company. He also spent some time in Florida where he attended Florida State University to study Sociology. His passion for the technology field brought him to explore a new career path where he could learn more about his technical interests.
When he’s not installing cable at one of our client facilities, Richard travels as much as he can. He has been to Asia, Australia, Europe, and Central America. He has lived in Florida, Tennessee, and Virginia where he enjoys the outdoors every chance he gets. He especially enjoys taking on new stretches of the Appalachian Trail.
We asked Richard what brought him to ABS. “It was the honest-work mentality and genuinely good and hard-working people that drew me in” he tells us. “This work environment drives me to work hard towards my goals each and every day.”
