Momentum Continues as ABS’ Vice President of Strategy & Operations Delivers
Bryan Campbell, a CPA with an MBA from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Mary Washington, joined ABS with ten years of experience working at a large regional accounting firm. As the Vice President of Strategy and Operations at ABS, Bryan is focused on providing leadership to the Operations and Finance teams while spearheading the execution of ABS’ corporate vision and strategy. As a consultant for all departments within ABS, Bryan is focused on listening and providing direction, insight and advice to the entire ABS team.
In true ABS spirit, Bryan jumped right in, learning the details of ABS’ business and the intricacies of the IT industry. Known around the office as the “Why Guy” Bryan has invested his time in understanding not just what we do, but why we exist, and how we can improve. While Bryan’s repetition of this favored question has garnered more than a few chuckles internally, simply asking the question is already proving to pay off as Bryan released a solid Corporate Vision & Strategy for 2017. This comprehensive plan highlights 6 strategic initiatives complete with deadlines (my personal favorite) and assigned stakeholders to assist and execute.
“He simply gets it.” says CEO + Visionary, Hunter Dorroh. “He dove right in, absorbed the details of our business and produced a strategy that I’m confident will help ABS reach not only its’ short but long term goals. I love how he quickly and effectively collaborated with people all over the organization to understand who would be best suited to drive each of the strategic initiatives. It’s been 6 months since Bryan joined the ABS Family so I asked him about thoughts on his transition into the industry and about his experience thus far. “ABS is comprised of dedicated professionals focused on making a difference and I’m inspired by their passion and drive each day.” Bryan said. “When I first started, Hunter’s insistence on me attending every meeting, visiting each of our 3 offices, and providing him unbiased feedback and advice was invaluable. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by teams who want to learn and make each other better and I look forward to coming to work every day. Being part of the IT industry is exciting, challenging and fun, but my focus is on ABS in the solution space. To continue growing and competing, we have to solve problems effectively and efficiently, and we’re doing this through collaboration. We have to understand our clients’ cultures, goals, challenges, processes and differentiators. We strive to be trusted advisors in IT and our value lies within our people.”
As one can probably infer by that statement alone, Bryan is a great culture fit within the ABS family. His efforts thus far mimic that of any ABS veteran and his already-proven ability to provide results ensures that ABS is well on its way to achieving both short term and long term goals.

In addition to staying on top of both marketing and IT industry trends, Sarah spends her time spearheading ABS’ marketing strategy and communicating ABS’ services and achievements.
