Fall Tech Fest 2017 Recap

November 13, 2017 Company News

Fall Tech Fest 2017 – we talked tech, we tasted local brews and we raised money for local charities all while supporting local businesses. By all accounts, our first series of Fall Tech Fest events proved to be a hit.

Our series focused on two of the hottest topics in IT: Cloud + Security. These sessions were led by industry experts Michael Morirata with Cisco Systems and David Stephens with Ingram Micro. As you might guess, we wanted to jam as much information and industry trend insights into one day as possible and Michael and David certainly did their part!

“Our goal was to provide more value to our clients through these events.” said ABS CEO + Visionary, Hunter Dorroh. “We know how difficult it can be sometimes to pull away from the office so we wanted to make sure it was well worth the time of our clients; we really wanted them to walk away feeling as though they learned something they can put to use in the short term. I also think the brewery theme worked pretty well to round out the events and make learning enjoyable. Fortunately the feedback we have received seems to confirm that notion as well.”

Also, thanks to one of the Fall Tech Fest top sponsors, Global Knowledge, 3 FREE technology courses were raffled off to those in attendance over the course of the events. ABS is all about giving back to our clients and the community; being able to extend additional training to 3 lucky attendees was simply a no-brainer.

So after diving deep into security and cloud, what’s next? Well, I can tell you that at ABS, we are always continuously working to improve. We are currently in the process of evaluating client feedback to decide what direction we will head in next for this series. One thing is for sure, we loved being able to give back and host these events in local, relaxing settings such as the breweries! Moreover, we could not have pulled these fantastic events off without the support of our generous sponsors and our clients for their faithful attendance. Stay tuned for announcements regarding our next iteration in 2018!
